Miya restaurant in Belgrade Waterfront is officially open!

We are pleased to share with you that Miya restaurant has officially opened within the Galerija shopping mall, in Belgrade Waterfront. As the authors of the interior, BAAL Design had the privilege of creating a space that exceeds the classic expectations of a restaurant environment and brings a new experience to the local culinary scene.

Miya is a Mediterranean restaurant that combines the influences of different cultures and styles – from Bali and Dubai, to Mykonos – merging them into a coherent and unexpected space. Our approach to this project was highly experimental: from the selection of materials, through collaboration with local artists and craftsmen, to the carefully designed atmosphere.

We paid special attention to the floor, which is a mosaic of over 50,000 pieces of marble, inspired by the works of architect Carlo Scarpa. Each segment of the space bears the mark of handmade work and thoughtful aesthetics, with the idea of ​​offering Belgrade a different view of what a restaurant can look like, especially in a shopping center.
